Get Ready for the Big Catch

Check our guest list for clothing and gear so you can focus on the fishing and lobstering.

Essential Gear & Clothing

  • Layer Up: Bring warm clothing like a hooded sweatshirt or jacket; it’s always cooler on the water.
  • Footwear: Wear boat shoes, sneakers, or sandals. Strictly no black-soled shoes.
  • Sun Protection: Sunglasses, brimmed hats, and sunscreen are essential for the Cape Cod sun.
  • Stay Dry: Bring a windbreaker or raingear to stay comfortable in changing conditions.
  • Seasickness: Take preventative pills one hour before departure if you are prone to motion sickness.

Food, Drink & Cooler Policy

  • Leave Coolers in the Car: We provide two bench-style YETI coolers iced down for your convenience.
  • Pack Light: Bring your food and drinks in a backpack or beach bag; use our iced YETIs for storage.
  • Refreshments: Sandwiches are best for lunch. Bring plenty of water and soft drinks.
  • Alcohol Policy: Beer and wine are allowed in moderation. Hard liquor is strictly prohibited.
  • Zero Tolerance: We follow a zero-tolerance U.S.C.G. drug policy and a no-smoking rule on board.

Logistics & Your Catch

On-Board Perks

  • No Permit Required: You are covered under our professional fishing permits for the duration of the trip.
  • Tackle Provided: Billingsgate Charters supplies all top-tier rods, bait, and tackle needed for the day.
  • Catch Preparation: All fish caught will be professionally filleted, bagged, and kept on ice at no extra cost.
  • Life Jackets: USCG life jackets are provided. Children under 12 must wear one at all times while underway.
